On July 15, 2016, a live version of "Valiente" was released. It was recorded at Radio Disney Vivo, when the cast of Soy Luna performed at Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile. Karol Sevilla and Michael Ronda performed the song together with backing vocals, guitar, and percussion from Lionel Ferro and Gastón Vietto. Before Radio Disney Vivo, "Valiente" was performed live by Karol Sevilla and Michael Ronda on the promotional tour in Brazil and Mexico. In addition to being released as a single, it was also included as track 10 on Música en ti.

- Before Soy Luna premiered, the title was guessed to be "Vas a despertar."
- A part of the song could be heard in the trailer for Soy Luna, but it was Luna Valente and Simón Álvarez's duet version.
- Simón sent a sample of this song to Luna after she left for Buenos Aires.
- Luna and Simón sang "Valiente" in the skating competition and at the first Open Music.
- Luna's last name, Valente, means "valiente" (brave) in Portuguese.
- The song is named after Luna's courage, as well as her last name, since Valente sounds similar to valiente.[1]
