Episode 49 is the forty-ninth episode of the Disney Channel Latin America series Soy Luna. It aired on July 14, 2016.
Plot[]
Sharon discovers Ámbar and punishes her. Sharon apologizes to Mónica and Miguel Valente, and asks them to stay at the mansion. Matteo makes a decision that will surprise Luna. (from Disney+)
Summary[]
Ámbar's crystal swan scheme crumbles[]
At risk of Matteo exposing her scheme, Ámbar makes up a story to tell Sharon about the swan's disappearance. Ámbar claims that she was admiring the swan when she dropped it. To hide the damage, she went to a jeweler to get it fixed and hid it in the jacket pocket when she was about to be spotted with the swan. Sharon dismisses Luna and Matteo and then tells Ámbar that she knows she is lying. To punish her, she forbids Ámbar from going to Jam & Roller and makes her apologize to each of the Valentes.
Ámbar is not ready to back down from the internal competition, so she conceives a plan to sneak out. She needs either Delfina or Jazmín to stay in her room and play a recording of Ámbar's voice if her godmother tries to talk to her. Delfina doesn't want to have to pay for Ámbar's mistakes, so they pick sticks to see who will stay. Jazmín loses, but she's actually happy about it because of the indulgence of Ámbar's room. Just as Ámbar's about to leave, Tino walks in and shouts for Sharon, potentially exposing Ámbar's plan.
Gastón is upset with Delfi for stooping so low with the crystal swan, so Delfi lies and says that she told Ámbar it was morally wrong. Matteo thinks Ámbar crossed a line and quits her team. He approaches Luna and asks to join hers.
Tino and Cato cannot find the receipt[]
Rey walks in on Tino and Cato on his laptop before they are able to recreate the delivery receipt Rey is looking for. After he leaves, the two men discover that the crumbled receipt in Tino's pocket was actually for the ice cream they bought, not the delivery, which means there is still hope to find the intact delivery receipt.
Ricardo tries to set up Mariano[]
Mariano refuses to go on Ricardo's proposed double date with his ex-wife, so Ricardo convinces Tamara to stage an accidental run-in instead. After Tamara and Mariano display good teamwork on the rink to Luna's struggling and disconnected team, she invites him out to dinner with her. Ricardo goes to pick up Ana for the date, but she refuses to go, so Mora steps in and says she will go instead.
The Roller Band struggles with girls[]
Nico doesn't understand why Jim is upset he joined her team for the competition. Jim is of course upset because Yam didn't want him on the team and thinks that Jim asked him to join. The two girls are in a fight and refuse to cooperate.
Pedro thought that Delfi was an independent girl, but now believes that she still complies with the will of Ámbar. Both Simón and Nico are convinced that Pedro has a crush on Delfi, or else he wouldn't be so concerned.
Daniela invites Simón out on a date and while on it, asks Simón if they would've broken up in Cancún if Daniela didn't have to leave the country after vacation was over. She tells Simón to think about it. After the date, they go to Jam & Roller, and Daniela grabs Simón's hand when she sees Luna standing there. Simón leaves to put on his skates, and Daniela tells Luna that she has no interest in being friends with her.
A woman lurks around the Benson Mansion[]
A mysterious woman is walking near the fence by the Benson Mansion and sees Ámbar with her friends. Sharon is looking for her out the window when Rey walks in on her. She tells Rey that she is a dangerous woman from the past.
RollerTrack and Felicity set up a date[]
Nina finally agrees to meet up with RollerTrack in person. They decide to meet up in the park the next day, wearing their favorite colors so that they can identify each other.
