Mónica is a very caring, sweet and supportive person, who always wants the best for her family and those close to her. She always tries to support her daughter Luna the best she can, but tends to worry a lot for her and sometimes be a bit overprotective. She wants Luna to be a free person and make her own choices, but she also wants her to be more responsible and take responsibility for her actions. Mónica can be quite suspicious of people she doesn't know too well, and also often doubts Rey and Sharon's credibility.
She is Luna's adoptive mother. She's a chef, who works in Cancún, Mexico. In the first episode, she's shown waking Luna up, and talking to Luna. When the Bensons arrive in Cancún, Mónica is being hired to cook for them during their stay in Cancún. Later, Mónica is being offered a job as the Benson's full-time chef, meaning that she and her family have to move away to Buenos Aires.
Mónica and Amanda are friends. Both used to work in the Benson House and often small talked together.
Mónica and Miguel are married. They have one daughter, Luna, who they adopted. They both work in the Benson House.
- Mónica participated in a dancing competition when she was young. She didn't win.
- She isn't a trained chef. She only became good at cooking after she adopted Luna, since she was very picky with her food when she was little.
