Jorge López Astorga (born October 30, 1991) is a Chilean actor, dancer, and singer who has worked in television, theater, and advertising. He is most known for his roles in the juvenile series Soy Luna as Ramiro and the teen drama ÉLITE as Valerio.

Life and Career[]

He studied acting at the Academia de Fernando González and at Universidad UNIACC, graduating with a diploma in musical theater.[2][3] His television debut was in the MEGA youth teleseries Decibel 110 as Jorge, which premiered in 2011.[2] Later, he participated in the sixth season of Los 80 and the television series Mama Mechona.[4]

López has also worked on live musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, and Chicago, and in commercials for the reality show Generaciones Cruzadas.[5][6] In the summer of 2014, he was selected to participate in an exclusive dance class with Madonna in Toronto.[2][7]

After requesting an audition three times and passing through several rounds thereafter in 2015, he was selected to join the cast of the original Disney Channel Latin America series Soy Luna, lending his voice to four soundtracks and three live tours.[4][5]

In 2019, López joined the cast for the second season of the Netflix series ÉLITE, portraying the character Valerio. He reprised his role for the third season, but left for the fourth.[1]
