Instituto Excellence Tercera Edad is a nursing home in Buenos Aires.

Business Description[]

The Instituto is a residence for people in their old age where they can be supervised by workers. Most of the elderly in the Instituto are senile or in poor health. Residents spend time outside as well as doing exercises with staff.

In Season 2, the Instituto goes through a number of renovations, including the addition of a jacuzzi, sauna, and temperature-controlled swimming pool.[1]

Workers[]

Tino Alcaraz and Cato Alcoba were attendants to Roberto Muñoz before his death, which may have been hastened by their negligence. Tino and Cato use the phone and facilities at the Instituto in their attempt to extort money from Sharon Benson. After they decide to leverage their knowledge of Sol Benson at the Benson Mansion for work, Tino and Cato quit their jobs here.

Rocío is a secretary at the Instituto and greets visitors. She provided Rey with a list of the workers and residents at the home.

An unnamed supervisor often scolded Tino and Cato to get back to work.

Residents[]

Roberto Muñoz lived here until his death. While he was alive, he inundated the staff and residents with his stories of Sol Benson and the Benson Mansion fire.[2][3]

Selina is an elderly woman who's friends with Señora Rodríguez. She knows how to knit.

Señora Rodríguez lives here and believes that Rey is her boyfriend. Shes moves out but returns later in order to be with her card-playing friends.[1]

Trivia[]

  • The English subtitles on Disney+ translate the character's use of 'asilo' when referring to the Instituto to asylum, but 'asilo' would more accurately be translated to a slightly offensive term for a nursing home.
