Daniela is a recurring character in Season 1 of Soy Luna. While on vacation in Cancún, she had a wonderful time with Simón Álvarez and was sad to goodbye. Much to her delight, she happens to run into him again at Jam & Roller.
She is portrayed by Sol Moreno.

Before the Show[]
In El principio del verano, the prequel novel to Soy Luna, it is revealed that Daniela was on vacation in Mexico a year before the start of the show when she met Simón Álvarez. Simón told Luna Valente via text message that he thought Daniela was a very nice girl. Simón taught Daniela how to skate, and they did that every day until Daniela went back to Argentina. After she left, Simón became really upset and realized he had feelings for her. Luna was on vacation while Daniela was in Mexico, so she never had the chance to meet her. Daniela said she would return the next summer, but she never did.
Alternatively, in Season 1/Episode 49, Daniela says that Simón and her actually did date in Cancún, and they only broke up when she had to return to Argentina. She thinks that if she didn't have to return home, they'd still be together.

Before meeting Daniela, Luna dreams of Daniela singing "Prófugos" with Simón. In the next episode, she is officially introduced as Simón's friend he met during summer vacation. She is mean to Luna, and tells her to stay away from Simón. One day she is dancing with Simón, who's on skates, and Ámbar sees her, and invites her to join their team. Daniela declines, and tells Ámbar that she does not skate, but can help with their choreography since she's a dancer. Later, Daniela finds out that Ámbar also does not like Luna, and they join forces. In Season 1/Episode 50, Daniela kisses Simón, and Daniela becomes Simón's girlfriend.
In Season 1/Episode 52, Daniela steals the USB drive Simón gave to Luna, to try to break the trust between them. Luna later finds out that it was Daniela that took the USB from her, and tries to tell Simón.
In Season 1/Episode 57, Daniela lies to Simón that Luna pushed her and broke her leg to further break the friendship between the two of them. Later in Season 1/Episode 60, Simón finally discovers Daniela's lies to separate him from Luna and breaks up with her. She got angry at Luna and told her she would be sorry if Simón refused to get back to her, but she dismissed her threats. As revenge, Daniela stole Luna's skates but Simón once again caught her and demanded an explanation. Daniela told him that she did all of this because of the good chemistry he and Luna have and that she was afraid of losing him, but that she never meant to hurt his feeling. Before she left, Daniela apologized for all the damaged she might've caused and returned Luna's skates to Simón.
